In our Roots of Bar Prep program, we support students studying for the Uniform Bar Exam and the Massachusetts Bar exam. Our students work one-on-one with Tara as they collaborate on a study plan that is best for their unique learning styles, schedules, and challenges.

While we do not provide full review of all content areas, we are here to support students in particularly challenging content areas, as well as the other areas depicted in the colorful wheel above.

We know that studying for the bar can be an incredibly difficult thing to do, and we are here to help every step of the way.
While teaching history and economics to high school students at her alma mater, Tara Shuman enrolled in the the evening program at Suffolk University Law School. She graduated in May 2008 and worked as an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, practicing in the firm's Boston office. After three years in big law, she joined a mid-size firm and helped grow Verrill's health care group in Boston and Portland, Maine.
While practicing law, Tara enjoyed an enriching secondment at Harvard Medical School in their Office of Research Integrity. She also worked tirelessly for her pro bono clients in the immigration courts alongside the PAIR Project. She also spent many mornings at the DotHouse supporting clients with a variety of health and immigration needs.
After she faced breast cancer at age 32, Tara realized that her heart remained in education. Now she enjoys helping law school graduates pass the bar exam and helping lawyers become more effective teachers for their younger associates.
